Louisiana State Board of Chiropractic Examiners
The Louisiana State Board of Chiropractic Examiners was created within the Department of Health and Hospitals by Legislative Act in 1974, for the purpose of licensing and regulating chiropractic practice to ensure the highest levels of professional excellence for the benefit and protection of the citizens of the State of Louisiana.

The Board adopted a comprehensive mission statement in December, 2000, which begins:
“The mission of the board is to protect the public health, safety and welfare through the regulation of individuals licensed under the authority of the Board . . .

The Board continues its mission by providing an additional avenue of accessible information and services, with this web site designed to assist the general public, as well as prospective and current licensees in obtaining information and handling certain functions relating to the work of the Board.
Act 461 of the 2023 Legislative Session - violence in the workplace
“Chiropractic physician offices, in which there are 5 or more healthcare professionals who treat patients, shall comply with Act 461 concerning health care workplace violence. These offices shall have signage and shall develop a workplace violence prevention program complaint with Act 461”.
