This is a statement issued by the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (formerly the “American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists (ABCO)):
“Regarding “DABCO” (diplomate of American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists”) status, doctors holding themselves out as “board eligible” or any other indication they have an “orthopedic” designation is improper and inflated credentials. Doctors who have previously achieved Diplomate status (DABCO) still hold a valid credential; however , it is NOT current unless they maintain their credentials with the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (IANM). “
Any licensee who has questions regarding the DABCO credentials should contact the IANM at admin@ianmmedicine.org or call the office of IAMN at 844-532-2378.
