Message from our Director

In order to better serve the public and to assist our licensees, I have created this website to expand the effectiveness and delivery speed of our services by providing easy access to much of the information and some of the special features our Board provides.

I hope that you will become a frequent visitor to this site and that you will find it a useful resource for your needs regarding the Louisiana State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.  You will find a list of Board Approved Seminars below the Continuing Education tab.  Also be sure to check out our Resources which contains links for our Library and our Forms pages.  Of course, we are always glad to speak to you should you need to contact us!

Executive Director

The Executive Director, Patricia A. Oliver, was employed by the Board in 1987.  She is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a graduate of Louisiana State University.  In addition to serving as the Board’s Executive Director, Ms. Oliver is an active member of various community and charitable organizations.  She has served as Treasurer and Vice-President” of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Board’s Association of Chiropractic Board Administrators.

Ms. Oliver was the 2014 recipient of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners’ “Paul M. Tullio Award” for distinguished service to the NBCE.  In May, 2015, she was elected to the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Board’s Board of Directors as the “Executive Fellow” from 2014 – 2021.  She recently celebrated her 34th year of employment with the Louisiana Board!

The day-to-day operations of the Board are conducted by the Executive Director with assistance from limited staff.  In addition to Ms. Oliver, the Board currently employs one administrative assistant and one part-time clerical assistant.

Ms. Schmidt, a native of New Orleans, LA, was employed in 2008 and continues to assist the Executive Director in office administration and assists the Board members as needed.
