Mark B. Kruse, D.C.

Dr. Mark Kruse has practiced in the Metairie area since 1989.  A graduate of the National University of Health Sciences, he has completed several postgraduate programs to earn a Certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine, a Diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopaedists and a Diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Consultants. Recently he became a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors.

Dr. Kruse has served on the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners as an appointee of the Foster, Blanco, Jindal and Edwards administrations.  He has also been appointed by governor Jindal to the Worker’s Compensation Advisory Council. In addition, he was selected as the American Chiropractic Association’s Alternate Delegate for the State of Louisiana.

He has received the Presidential Award and the Distinguished Service Award from the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, 2014 and 2021

Michael R. Cavanaugh, D.C.

Dr. Cavanaugh graduated from National College of Chiropractic and went into practice in 1967. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted and served in the United State Army in Vietnam. Upon returning to the U.S., he resumed private practice in New Orleans, LA. He was in the original group of chiropractors licensed in 1974 by then Governor Edwin Edwards. Dr. Cavanaugh was the chiropractic consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield from 1975-1977. He also served on the Peer Review Committee for the Louisiana Chiropractic Society and was chosen for the advisory panel of the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners for a “peer review” committee formation and later served on the initial “peer review” committee until 1997. He received his C.C.S.P. in 1995 and works with numerous athletes in all levels from grade school to professional. He was appointed by Governor Kathleen Blanco to the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners on August 25, 2006. He is a member of the Louisiana Chiropractic Society, the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the American Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Martello was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners in February, 2009.

Dr. Martello is originally from Independence, LA, and his family relocated to Baton Rouge in 1972. He is a 1979 Istrouma High School graduate and a 1989 graduate of Texas Chiropractic College. From an early age, he was interested in healthcare – particularly orthopedic surgery; however, on a canoeing trip in 1984, he injured his back and found amazing results with chiropractic care from his cousin, Dr. Cosimo “Tony” Martello, one of the Louisiana chiropractic pioneers. He decided to follow in his cousin’s footsteps! After graduating from TCC, he returned to Louisiana to practice. In January, 1997, he was asked to co-author the criteria for chiropractic’s inclusion in the LA Medicaid program. He served on the Peer Review Committee of the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners from 1994 to 2009. From 1998 to the present, he participates regularly as an “examiner” for NBCE’s Part IV practical exam. He has 2 sons ages 13 and 10.

Denise Rollette, D.C.

Dr. Rollette was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners in August, 2016 by Govorner Jon Bel Edwards.

A graduate of Palmer College, Davenport, Dr. Rollette has been in private practice in Hammond since 1985, with her husband, Dr. Dale Rollette.  They have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.

She was introduced to chiropractic care at a very young age, had results so overwhelmingly positive for her that she fell in love with chiropractic care and knew that’s what she wanted to do.  Because of this, her focus is pediatric, perinatal and family wellness care.

She is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and the International Chiropractors Association (ICA).

Michael N. Traxler, D.C.

Dr. Traxler graduated high school from Ridgedale Academy, and then went to college at NLU.  While at NLU he played football on the 1987 National Championship Football team.  After college, he worked in the insurance industry for a few years, and then went back to school for his Chiropractic degree. 

Dr. Traxler received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in January 2006 from Parker University in Dallas, Texas.  He has been on may boards throughout his career.  He is presently a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Louisiana Chiropractic Association, and is a lifetime member of both the ULM Alumni Association and the ULM L Club. 

Dr. Traxler, his wife Dr. Joanna Traxler, and their kids still live in Monroe, Louisiana.

Kelleigh A. Payne, D.C.

Dr. Kelleigh Payne was born and raised in Eastern New Orleans and currently resides in New Orleans, LA. 

She is a 2005 graduate of Eleanor McMain Secondary School.  Following the completion of high school, Dr. Payne received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Berry College in 2009.  In 2013, she received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College.

Dr. Payne is certified in Graston technique, kinesiotaping and physical therapy.  She is a diversified chiropractic physician.  Dr. Payne is the owner of Crescent City Chiropractic Center in New Orleans and Metairie, LA. 

She is a member of the American Chiropractic Assocation, American Black Chiropractic Assocation, the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and is the current Vice President of the Rotary Club Of New Orleans-Downtown.

I am native of Baton Rouge with two children and 4 grandchildren. I was employed in the private sector for many years and was a business owner for 14 years as well. I am now retired and enjoy a very active social life with family and friends.

I was appointed to the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners by Gov. John Bel Edwards in October, 2020 as the consumer member.
